British Firefighter, Victorian era 'Saved'

A stunning hand crafted 11" scale statuette called of the classic 1891 'Saved' painting in a Cold Cast Bronze finish.

'Saved' was painted by Charles Vigour and the original is displayed in the Fire Heritage Centre which is part of the Fire Service College at Moreton-in-Marsh. It depicts the classice pose of a victorian firefighter carrying an unconsious girl from a burning building. On the back of the steps is written the first verse of the Firefighter's prayer:

When I am called to duty God, 

Where-ever flames may rage, 

Give me strength to save some life, 

What ever be it's age. 


The sculpture is very popular within the UK Fire & Rescue Service as a retirement gift for colleagues. They are a great reminder of service and will be cherished for years to come

All statuettes are supplied ready mounted on a wooden deep base. You can also have your statuette personalised with engraving onto a brass plaque - this is included in the price!

Maximum size for engraving is 3 lines with no more than 35 characters per line (inc spaces) - Please DOUBLE CHECK the engraving as mistakes will require a new plate to be made.
